Oh No He Didn't...

Rogan: "That son of a bitch! Noah, I swear to Christ I'm going to kick that boy's ass when I see him again."

Noah: "Get in line. Jet and Trevor have already left looking for him."

Rogan: "Gadammit! When will these guys ever learn? We're not superhuman."

Wade: "Uh, yeah, we kinda are."

Rogan: "Shut the hell up, Cougar. Who's talking to you?"

Noah: "Calm down, Wolfe. Mac might be an idiot but he's not stupid."

Rogan: "He went to the Everglades by himself, Noah."

Noah: "I know."

Rogan: "To the third B*E*A*S*T* compound."

Noah: "I know."

Rogan: "I think he's pretty damned stupid! He has no back up. He has no friggin' plan. All he has is a few tranqs and some of that serum that makes it so we can't shift for a few hours."

Wade: "He knows Lucian's safeword. At least he can say that if he gets ambushed by shifters."

Rogan: "Again, who's talking to you?"

Noah: "Rogan, don't be an ass."

Rogan: "No, seriously. We had to clean up Wade's mess, as I recall. Went in guns-a-blazin' just like our boy Mac."

Wade: "And Noah didn't? Or what about you, Mr. Wolfe? Huh? When you found out you had a wife, nothing could have stopped you from claiming her."

Rogan: "Yeah, but she wasn't at a heavily-guarded B*E*A*S*T* compound!"

Wade: "True, but you lead Sean right to her. Blew her house to Kingdom Come. That was a smooth move."

Noah: "Guys, guys, look. We've all got baggage. Robyn is Mac's baggage. He hasn't claimed her, but damn, she might as well be his mate. We've all seen the way he is around her. I don't blame him for not wanting to wait for us to make up our minds on how to storm the place. We were dragging our feet."

Rogan: "We were trying to find a tactical way in without getting our asses handed to us and thrown back into a cell for reprogramming."

Wade: "Have a little faith in the guy, Rogan. He knows what he's doing. He took down the compound in Oregon without us."

Rogan: "With the help of Jet and Trevor!"

Noah: "And Robyn."

Rogan: "All right, fine, fine. He knows what he's doing, I'll give you that much. But if B*E*A*S*T* doesn't kill the bastard, I will."

I Won't Stop Until I Find Her...

Two months. Two goddamn months! That's how long I've been looking for Robyn Groves. She's a snowy owl. She's absolutely gorgeous. And she's mine.

Lucian Carver's going to rue the day he ever took her from me. Noah, Rogan, Wade and I have been searching for her in Florida, along with Jet and Trevor. We think we might have found the third B*E*A*S*T* compound in the Everglades. But Christ, the others are dragging their feet! Should we be stealthy? Or should we storm the place? Obviously, I'm all for Option #2.

If we don't do something and quick, I'm going to go storm the place my friggin' self. Hell, might do it anyway. Robyn is in there. I can't wait any longer. Carver is torturing her. It'll be my pleasure to sink my teeth into his throat. I've never been one to like the taste of blood, but just the thought of killing that bastard makes my mouth water. Well, that, and feeling Robyn pressed against me once more, sighing into my ear and begging me to make love to her.

Screw it. The others can do what they like. I'm going to bust Robyn out of there once and for all.

I'm coming, baby.

Wow. Isn't it awesome?? That's my boy Mac, with his eye flashing gold in mid-shift into a jaguar. He's looking out through a cut-out of an owl, a snowy owl to be exact. I had requested this cover be in brown tones and I love the warmth of the color the cover art chose.

Since we are now down to a few short months until release of the fourth book in my BEAST series, entitled MARK OF THE B*E*A*S*T*, I have decided to post a FAQ of sorts, to help you sort out what's who and who's what with regards to this series. Some of you have been with me since the beginning, others have found their way here recently. And still others have read this series out of order.

So here's what's really going on.

B*E*A*S*T* stands for:

BIO-ENGINEERING TO ATTAIN SHIFT TRANSFORMATION

They are a malevolent secret agency, funded by...who knows? And specializing in splicing human DNA with that of animals, turning normal men and women into shifters. These shifters are able to shift at will, yet retain no memory of their lives before; before they were monsters. A few of these experiments have escaped B*E*A*S*T*'s compounds. These are their stories.

THE B*E*A*S*T* WITHIN - Book I
