Tam's Pursuit

He could smell him on the wind--the man who was a traitor; the man he wanted to rip limb from limb. And he smelled her as well. The woman's sweet perfume entwined with the traitor's putrid scent, rising from the ground in waves. Bounding through the snow, his black paws demolished their pristine tracks, but he didn't care.

They were close.

He'd found their stink in the cave not too far away, and he knew they'd just left it. He also knew that if he pushed himself, he could catch them. Roaring, he pounced, landing on a blanket that was still warm. Within seconds, nothing but shreds remained. She'd been wearing it. Her scent was unmistakable.

Never before had Tam been filled with the desire to kill and to mate at the same time. It had been so long--so very long since he'd felt a woman underneath him, and he knew if he continued on, he would be able to satiate both of his desires. But for now, he remained in his shifted state, his golden eyes flashing in the moonlight. Bounding across the snow, he could almost taste them, their scent was so strong.

Then, not more than mere yards ahead of him, he saw a road with a car stopped in the middle of it. The bastard was going to escape!

Urging his body beyond its limits, Tam raced for all he was worth to catch them before the car sped into the night, but as the sleek black panther leapt onto the highway, he could already see the car's taillights fading into the distance.

Rage boiled inside of him and he screamed, his howl echoing off the surrounding hills as he chased the car in vain. He would soon find Noah Carpenter--wherever he went--and he would kill him. Noah might think he could run, but Tam knew he couldn't hide.

Not when he belonged to B*E*A*S*T*.

My Terrifying Dreams

Dear God, my dreams horrify me. I can't move. Needles are cutting into my skin. Hot flames seem to burn every muscle in my body and I can't even scream. Why? Because those bastards have given me the serum. I'm no longer human--and I CAN'T shift.

I can taste the terror in my mouth, the scent must be coming off of me in waves. But these dreams are more than just nightmares. They are dreams I can't wake up from, no matter how hard I try.

And whenever I do awake, I'm covered in sweat, screaming at the top of my lungs. I have no idea if these dreams are memories, but I have a suspicion that they are. Holy shit, what these bastards did to me is inexcusable. Indescribable. How can those men sleep at night? I shudder to even think of it. Christ, I'm shaking even now.

Lanie has no idea how bad these dreams can get. I don't tell her.

And she doesn't ask.

Justin's Revenge

Noah's going to kick the living shit out of me.

But I don't care.

What that bastard Tam did to me, to my fiancee, is unforgiveable. The scientists at B.E.A.S.T. think I can't remember anything from my life before, but they couldn't be more wrong. I remember the day they came for me; the day TAM came for me. He knew I'd be reprogrammed--that I wouldn't remember a thing. So he delighted in killing my fiancee right in front of me.

But not before he raped her.

That asshole is going to die--by my hand. And I have a plan. Tam will know once and for all how much I hate him as I spit on his rotting corpse. Then maybe, just maybe, I'll indulge the hunger inside of me and eat my fill. My beloved Shawna deserves no less. I'm not afraid of Tam. I can do something he can't.

I can FLY.

B.E.A.S.T. OF BURDEN Video

Well, by now, I'm sure y'all have seen the video for THE B.E.A.S.T. WITHIN. If not, it's in the menu in the upper right hand corner of the blog, under **B.E.A.S.T. "Movie" Trailer!**

I've made videos for ALL of the books, which are ALL posted on this blog. If you scroll down to the bottom, you'll see three banners. If you click on each banner, it will take you to the video for that book.

I was never satisfied with the vid I made for Rogan. So this morning, I found a different man for my hero, added a lot more pictures, and some text to make it more interesting. So if you've seen Rogan's video, might want to see it again to watch the NEW and IMPROVED version. :)

Here is a sneak peek at B.E.A.S.T. OF BURDEN's blurb, and then a linky to the video. Enjoy!

~*~

Rogan Wolfe desperately wants to find the wife he doesn’t remember. After stealing him from his home two years earlier, B.E.A.S.T. faked Rogan’s death, making it appear as if he’d died in a gruesome car accident. His real name is Matthew Silver, and he is driven to reclaim the life that was so maliciously stolen from him.

Marlie Silver is in shock. Not only has she just found out that her husband is alive and well, she learns that he’s a shifter--able to change his shape into a timber wolf. She’s never gotten over his loss and doesn’t know what to do. Now he’s offering her a second chance, yet he doesn’t remember their life together.

And Rogan is being pursued by Sean Ross, a murderous shifter determined to kill him--and Marlie--at any cost. Can Rogan protect her from the man who wants them both dead? And can a wolf ever stand any chance at all against a Kodiak grizzly?

Fun Idea or Unnecessary Torture?

:P I just found out that my publisher at Champagne Books is going to include the first chapter of B.E.A.S.T OF BURDEN into the PRINT copy of THE B.E.A.S.T. WITHIN! I'm not sure the e-book buyers will get the free preview of the second book, but I love the idea. I've seen a lot of publishers do this, especially with a series, to entice people to buy the next book. Sooo awesome!

However, you still have to wait until February of next year before you can read the full book of Rogan's story. :( But reading the first chapter is cool. A "sneak peek" if you will. :P

The book is coming right along now. I had a few problems to work through, because I wasn't sure about Marlie's character, the heroine. I wasn't sure how she was going to react to certain revelations, and so I had to really think about what she would do. But I believe I've worked through those rough patches. Writing Rogan is so much fun. I'm going to love this story. :)

Chapter Three!

Well, B.E.A.S.T. OF BURDEN is coming right along. I have already finished chapter one and two, and now I'm heading on into chapter three! :D I think I'm going to have a lot of fun writing Rogan's story, as he's kind of a smart-ass, so he says some pretty funny stuff. LOL But I have some great ideas and I can't wait to get into the thick of things!

Just wanted to give you an update. :D
